After School Care

Welcome to our after-school program, officially called DSAP – Dolphin Stay and Play!  We are excited to offer this program to our families who are seeking additional care for their children after school.  Below are a few details about our DSAP program.

DSAP is open from 3-6pm on all full school days. We do not offer DSAP on noon dismissal days.  
 
DSAP is offered on our school campus.  They play outside on the playground, on the outdoor basketball court, and in the gym.  There is homework time. Indoor activities include board games, puzzles, legos, and sometimes crafts for our DSAP students to participate in.    

Some parents may want to use DSAP only occasionally. If so, please inform our school office staff when your student needs to attend DSAP. All SHCS students are automatically enrolled in DSAP for your convenience, and you only pay when you use it.  

For our school families who need routine or daily DSAP services, you must complete our DSAP application in order to ensure adequate staffing.  For full-time users, we offer a discount.  For almost full-time users, you may also want to take advantage of this discount, depending on your schedule.

Options

There are TWO options:
 

Option 1 - Pay as you need DSAP only - billed at end of month for the hours used during the month.
3:00-4:30 - $5.75 per block
4:31-6:00 - $5.75 per block
Every student is already registered for Option 1.
If you pick up your student by 4:30pm, then you are only charged for Block 1 - $5.75.
If you pick up your student after 4:30pm, then you are charged for Block 1 and 2 - $11.50.

Option 2 - Flexibility Option - Use any school day from 3:00pm - 6:00pm
$175/month, which is a 24% discount. 
Parents must fill out an application by 8/20/22 for Option 2 for the monthly discount.

If your DSAP needs change throughout the school year, we are flexible and can adjust your options.  Please contact our school office if your DSAP needs change.
