What is SIT?
Answer: SIT stands for School Improvement Team. School Improvement Teams develop school improvement plans. These plans set goals and allow team members to collaborate on ways to achieve the goals and needs of the school. The team is made of the principal, representatives of the assistant principals, instructional personnel, instructional support personnel, and parents of children enrolled in the school.
SHCS views parental involvement as a critical component of school success and positive student achievement. It is the intent that parents, along with teachers, have a substantial role in developing school improvement plans.
How do I communicate a suggestion for school improvement to the group?
Answer: You may communicate through the google form. Fill out the form listed above, answering all of the questions, and a SIT member will be in touch to follow up on the request and to begin the recommendation process.
