Athletics » Overview

Athletics and physical activity are an integral part of our student life at Sacred Heart.   Our mascot is the Dolphin!  Through daily recess, active physical education classes and 18 different sports teams offered throughout the school year, Sacred Heart takes developing students physically very seriously.
The Sacred Heart Athletic Department is a top-notch program full of stellar athletes, many who go onto playing on very successful high school teams.  Considering our smaller school size, we have record numbers of student athletes who continue their sports into college.  Over the past decade, we can list many of our SHCS graduates who continued into college sports.  While we do not "recruit" athletes, we do teach a strong academic foundation... a hard work ethic...responsibility and accountability to self, teachers, coaches, and teammates...time management...and to try again...but most importantly, we teach that our Heavenly Father will bless their BEST efforts and to trust HIM with the results!!!  After all those important lessons, we do teach sports skills with our elementary and middle school sports programs and have an outstanding coaching staff!
